Ready for Hillary Names Four Regional Organizing Directors

Regional Organizing Directors Will Further Build Grassroots Army of Supporters in All Corners of the Country

ARLINGTON, VA - Today, Ready for Hillary announced the hiring of four regional organizing directors who will further build the organization's grassroots army of Hillary supporters in all corners of the country.

The regional organizing directors will engage supporters in Ready for Hillary's efforts and build an infrastructure of volunteers throughout their respective regions, while overseeing multiple high-priority programs to grow a massive list of Hillary supporters. Moreover, the directors will mobilize supporters to channel the grassroots enthusiasm for a potential Hillary 2016 candidacy into efforts to help elect Democrats in this year's mid-term elections.

Western Regional Organizing Director Jessica Mejia

As Western Regional Organizing Director, Jessica Mejia will manage efforts to build upon Ready for Hillary's grassroots army of supporters in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming, as well as American territories, and among Americans abroad and American military service members across the world.

Jessica is a campaign professional specializing in field operations, mobilization, and political outreach and has worked at local, statewide and national levels.

Her multiple national roles include Deputy Director of Political Affairs for the 2008 Democratic National Convention Committee, State Field Director for Hillary Clinton for President in Colorado, and Midwest Deputy Regional Field Director for the Democratic National Committee in 2004. She also worked as an organizer for SEIU 1928, promoting workplace protections for workers in Colorado and other states.

In California, Jessica served as Campaign Manager for the Committee to Re-Elect Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, Field Director for Judy Chu for Congress, Field Director for Ricardo Lara for Assembly (CA), and Statewide Get-Out-The-Vote Director for the California Democratic Party “Yes We Can! California ’08” campaign, managing the day-to-day operations of fifteen field offices. In 2004, she served as Volunteer Coordinator for Barbara Boxer for U.S. Senate. Most recently, Mejia served as Campaign Manager for Anthony Rendon for Assembly (CA).

A Los Angeles native, Jessica began her career in politics as President of the California College Democrats and an intern for Governor Gray Davis while attending California Lutheran University.

Southern Regional Organizing Director Hans Goff

As Southern Regional Organizing Director, Hans Goff will manage efforts to build Ready for Hillary's grassroots army of supporters in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Hans served as a Senior Associate at ASGK Public Strategies and is a veteran public affairs and political operative. He began his career in the Office of the Mayor of the City of Trenton, NJ. After working for two academic institutions, Hans served in the administration of Governor Mark Warner in Richmond, VA.

His extensive political work includes roles for the New Jersey General Assembly Majority Office, the non-profit YouthBuild Newark, Congressman John Olver (D-MA), Gov. Jon Corzine (D-NJ), Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), and numerous other targeted campaigns.

On President Obama's re-election campaign, Hans served as Regional Field Director in North Carolina, managing field operations in Nash County, the state's only county to flip from red in 2008 to blue in 2012. Following the campaign, Hans was appointed to the Office of Public Engagement for the Presidential Inaugural Committee.

Hans is a graduate of Campaign Management Institute at the Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies at American University, the Bloustein School for Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University and the College of William and Mary.

Midwest Regional Organizing Director Derek Eadon

As Midwest Regional Organizing Director, Derek Eadon will manage efforts to build upon Ready for Hillary's grassroots army of supporters in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Derek is the Founder of Bluprint Strategies, a consulting firm specializing in digital strategy, public affairs, and campaign management. Eadon represents corporate, non-profit, and political clients throughout the Midwest.

Eadon served in numerous roles for President Obama since 2007, including work on the Iowa and Kansas Caucuses, as well as President Obama's First Inauguration.

As General Election Director in Iowa for President Obama's re-election campaign, Derek led the way to a convincing victory following record registration, early voting, and turnout. He worked in various capacities for the Iowa Democratic Party over the past decade, including serving as the Coordinated Campaign Director for the Party in 2010, and attended of the University of Iowa.

Northern Regional Organizing Director Sean Downey

As Northeast Regional Organizing Director, Sean Downey will manage efforts to build upon Ready for Hillary's grassroots army of supporters in Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Rhode Island, and West Virginia.

Sean is a seasoned Northeastern political operative with extensive field and communications experience in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New Jersey. He has served as an aide to Sens. Chris Dodd, Joe Lieberman and Evan Bayh (D-IN), Gov. John Lynch (D-NH), Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone (MA), and the New Hampshire Senate Democratic Caucus.

In 2011, Sean served as Executive Director of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, leading the Party’s operations during the midterm legislative elections, which saw Democrats hold commanding majorities in both chambers.

During President Obama's re-election campaign, Sean served as New Hampshire Political Director, managing high-level relationships and coordination with elected leadership, allied organizations and surrogates with the overall goal of providing support for the campaign’s field and communications programs. Most recently, Sean served as District Director in the office of Congresswoman Ann McLane Kuster (D-NH).

A native of Massachusetts, Sean received a B.A. in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
