Pro-Hillary Group Notes Key Milestones in Advance of Official Launch
MCLEAN, VA - Just two months after filing paperwork with the FEC, Ready for Hillary SuperPAC is off to a 'super' start, with an average one thousand grassroots supporters joining our efforts every single day. Even before the impending official launch of the PAC, more than 100,000 grassroots supporters are now part of our network.
A summary of major Ready for Hillary milestones is below.
January 25, 2013: Co-founders Allida Black (human rights advocate, historian and longtime Hillary supporter) and Adam Parkhomenko (Hillary political staff member from 2003-2008) form Ready for Hillary PAC
January 26: First contribution to Ready for Hillary PAC
January 28: The Hill breaks news of the formation of Ready for Hillary PAC
January 29: CNN, while interviewing Hillary, points to Ready for Hillary PAC as a sign of the enthusiasm of her supporters
January 31: The first of many 2008 Hillraisers (supporters who raised more than $100,000 for Hillary's presidential campaign) signs on to Ready for Hillary effort.
February 1: Launched splash page of our website, www.ReadyforHillary.com
February 16: Reached 50,000 @readyforhillary Twitter followers - already five times more than Karl Rove's American Crossroads
February 27: Announced the hiring of National Communications Director Seth Bringman, a Hillary 2008 alum and former Ohio Democratic Party Communications Director
March 6: Announced the hiring of general counsel Jim Lamb, one of the chief attorneys on Hillary's 2000 Senate race and a three-time honoree in Washingtonian Magazine's "Top Political Lawyers"
March 12: Reached 100,000 e-mail addresses in our database
March 18: Chair Allida Black drafts marriage equality op-ed following the release of Hillary's Human Rights Campaign video
March 25: Hired Rising Tide Interactive, a digital consulting company whose clients include U.S. Sens. Gillibrand, Heitkamp, Donnelly and Kaine, as well a the DGA
March 27: Announced the hiring of Digital Director Nickie Titus, former Tim Kaine campaign Director of Digital Media and former Director of Business Development at Blue State Digital (BSD)
March 27: Reached 50,000 Facebook fans - now having 25 times more than the pro-Romney SuperPAC had on Election Day in 2012.
March 31: Announced the hiring of National Finance Director Matt Felan, the National Deputy Finance Director on Hillary's 2008 campaign
March 31: Ready for Hillary makes the front page of the New York Times
And there are still 43 months until Election Day 2016!
